Member of Finance Operations

The members of the Finance Operations team will have the opportunity to work on the highest-priority financial initiatives associated with rapidly scaling a new global technology start-up. Job Description

DevRev Finance team is looking for a Finance Analyst to join us in Chennai. In this role, you will assist in the overall sales compensation planning, strategy, and communication for a key segment of the Sales team along with all other responsibilities mentioned below.  You'll use a combination of analytics, project management, and operational excellence to work with leaders across the organization to ensure that our team’s initiatives result in desired overall performance.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop an understanding of the sales commissions plan structure and commissions system set up to audit the arrangement of sales incentive plans and assist with the rollout of sales incentive changes

- Validate target setting by calculating targets against achievements; calculate incentives and payouts; reconcile data

- Provide insightful and useful analytics across all levels (Global, Entity Wise, Department wise) that deliver continuous improvement in budgeting & forecasting, variance analysis, incentive plan effectiveness and all other key metrics

- Define workflows and coordinate with Automation Engineers to bring in scalable automated processes across finance operations

- Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new regulations or policies that impact SaaS industry and our business

Required Skills:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance, or equivalent practical experience

- 2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or other related fields.

- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting

- Excellent analytical, modeling, and presentation skills, with the ability to analyze raw data, draw insightful conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations

- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and follow-up skills

- Attention to accuracy and detail 

- Passionate about technology, open source, and willingness to learn new tools

- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) or commissions software is a plus
