The Databook IT Team is a small and mighty team responsible for managing and maintaining the global organization's technology infrastructure, systems, and applications. 

 

The Opportunity

The Senior IT Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the strategic initiatives of the organization's IT department.  Reporting directly to the Director of Privacy & Security, this position is responsible for leading the analysis, planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT solutions in alignment with security, privacy, and compliance objectives. The Senior IT Analyst collaborates closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify technological risks, and implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive information.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional IT support to Databook employees globally, ensuring seamless operations throughout their employment lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate existing IT systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and cost reduction.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of IT projects, including software applications, network enhancements, and system upgrades.
  • Conduct thorough research on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that drive business value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess technology needs, define project scope, and establish project timelines and deliverables.
  • Perform system troubleshooting and provide technical support to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
  • Lead and participate in IT governance processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and security protocols.
  • Stay informed about advancements in IT best practices, methodologies, and tools, and proactively share knowledge with team members.
  • Work a shift of 1200 - 2100 IST to provide help for Databook employees technical support needs across multiple time zones.

 

Working Arrangements

This position offers a hybrid work mode, allowing employees to work both remotely and in-office as mutually agreed upon with work location in Mumbai.




About You

3 - 5 years of experience in a senior IT analyst or similar role, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex IT projects and initiatives.

  • Expertise in system analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, and project management methodologies.
  • Strong technical proficiency across multiple IT domains, including network infrastructure, system administration, and cybersecurity.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Google Workspace, including administration, configuration, and integration with other systems.
  • Proficiency in collaboration tools such as Slack, including setup, customization, and user management to facilitate efficient communication and teamwork.
  • Experience with video conferencing platforms like Zoom, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting to support remote collaboration and virtual meetings.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management solutions such as Okta, including user provisioning, SSO, and MFA to ensure secure access to IT resources.
  • Understanding of API and webhooks for integration purposes, facilitating seamless communication and data exchange between different systems.
  • Strong understanding and preferably certification in foundational IT concepts such as CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+.
  • Proficiency across multiple platforms including MacOS and Windows, along with familiarity with MDMs, Azure, Active Directory, Virtual Machines, Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, Okta, and EDRs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and a focus on driving business value through technology
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills, including fluency in English

 

Ideal candidates will also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar technical field or considerable relevant experience
  • Startup experience a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
  • Flexibility and open to occasionally working outside regular hours and on weekends for maintenance tasks
