Lead Cultivation Associate - Post Harvest
Job Type: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Summary
The Lead Cultivation Associate for the harvest team provides support to the Post-Harvest Supervisor through stellar communication, organization, attention to detail, teaching and guidance to Cultivation Associates. Executed in accordance with State of Maine regulations & Curaleaf policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
· Work in tandem with Supervisor and maintain an open dialogue on working towards the daily, quarterly and annual goals for the department.
· Under the direction of the Supervisor, this position is responsible for increasing operational efficiency and reducing waste through ownership, teamwork, communication and collaboration.
· Ie. Coordinate with other Biddeford teams to streamline tasks. Re-assign Post Harvest team to assist other teams, when needed.
· Oversee daily activities of Harvest Associates, under the guidance and supervision of the Post Harvest Supervisor. Acts as liaison to Supervisor, bringing workload & interpersonal issues to their attention, for additional support and follow up. Confidentiality is very important.
· Ensure accurate creation and tracking of all inventory in the state-run seed to sale inventory systems (BiotrackTHC and/or Metrc)
· Organize, prepare for, and execute wet plant harvesting. Ensure that pre-harvest work is completed in a timely manner.
· Perform vault/trim inventory.
· Monitor Ridder environmental controls for each dry room to meet dry down protocols.
· Calculate, enter and maintain data accurately in various local & corporate tracking documents.
· Lead team members in maintaining exceptionally clean & organized work stations, from bucking to pillowing, to ensure a clean final product and that the proper segregation of materials is maintained.
· Report all equipment, technical or maintenance issues immediately to Supervisor. Input requests into MaintainX, as needed.
· Aide in minor equipment repairs and preventative equipment maintenance
· Set a positive example and tone for all team members.
· Train all new hires and continue training for team members who are learning new processes - following SOPs, equipment & personal safety rules and good manufacturing practices.
· Keep tools and equipment sterilized to our strict quality control standard
· Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to work with, provide constructive feedback to, and provide preliminary support in conflict situations to all team members with respect and professionalism.
· Performs duties as a Harvest Associate, as time allows.
· Work during assigned hours & overtime or weekends, as requested.
· Promote, set example and adhere to state compliance, security and human & plant health policies - including the use of hair nets, hand and eye protection, and uniforms.
· Demonstrate and promote the company vision.
· Perform additional assigned duties to meet goals and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
· Strict attention to detail
· Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities
· Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
· Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
· Working knowledge, or the interest to develop working knowledge, of cannabis state regulations
· Ability to successfully manage a high-volume workload with deadlines
· Reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
· Focus on a physical task for a long period of time without losing edge
· Manual dexterity; enough to reach/handle items, work with fingers
· Standing for extended periods is common
· Allergen warnings - Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.
· Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as isopropyl alcohol.
· Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to Mobius trimmer, air compressor, packaging equipment, and alarms.
· PPE use demanded to protect from solvent, cleaning and noise hazards.
