Cultivation Associate - Post-Harvest
Job Type: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Hourly Wage: $17/hr
Location: Biddeford, ME
Who You Are:
As a cultivation associate, you will be responsible for executing production plans in keeping with the Company’s operating procedures for cultivation. Cultivation associates carry out the day-to-day assignments and tasks of the cannabis production cycle.
What You Will Do:
- Follow Standard Operating procedures for bucking, trimming, testing, drying, curing and sorting cannabis harvests in preparation for flower sales and / or oil extraction.
- Responsible for weighing, filling, packaging bulk flower & trim products with no micro-contamination introduced into the process or material
- Accurately record & enter data in ‘Post Harvest Records’ for state-mandated seed to sale inventory system (BiotrackTHC) and corporate tracking.
- Responsible for organizing work areas and performing daily tasks such as washing and sanitizing equipment and racking systems
- Maintain a neat and organized work area allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processes
- Adhere to departmental, site and corporate safety policies
- Occasionally assist other team members in their duties. Everyone at this facility will be expected to pitch in, occasionally, on other teams to keep each work day full and productive and help the overall business run efficiently and on-time.
What You Will Bring:
- Competence with measuring and recording accurate weights and measures
- Ability to accurately fill out documentation
- Strong interpersonal (verbal & written) skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize competing demands
- Possess basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication
- Possess basic computer skills and be able to enter and maintain data accurately in Microsoft Office
- Ability to gown and work in an aseptic/clean room environment
- Ability to comply with established safety standards for the proper use, safe handling and disposal of harmful chemicals, substances, and hazardous wastes
- Must be able to work in a challenging fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to details
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, along with frequent bending
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
