What You’ll Do:

The Director of Content Management will be responsible to develop and manage content strategy that supports all owned branded, 3rd party products, educational and sales materials.  Establishes standards for content and manages development and deployment of all content across channels.  Content includes but is not limited to product naming, product specifications, positioning statements, imagery, educational, sales materials, videos, blog, social, consumer/influencer generated content and product reviews.

  • Ensure consistency across all platforms to best communicate our product standards and reasons to buy
  • Creates database of approved descriptions that Retail Systems and Wholesale partners can use to populate menus accordingly
  • Verification of product types, categories, and sales-driving verbiage
  • Ultimately ensures that established product descriptions are of best practices and drive sales with consumers 
  • In collaboration with Genetics, Operations and Commercialization, sets the standard for flower and strain marketing by ensuring naming conventions, strain descriptions, photography and any marketing campaign assets are accurately and consistently represent our products 
  • Partner with Research & Development (R&D) and Commercialization team to produce educational decks and sell sheets and inform consumer-facing campaign assets in partnership with Brand
  • Stakeholder for final creative and content approvals through creative process
  • Owner of passing information above to Retail and Sales Training (ideal state) for local trainings as products launch
  • Lead strategy from national level for implementation of sales and retail trainings for product launches and modules
  • Primary source of onboarding for brands and products across channels in the company to encourage Brand loyalty and knowledge
  • Point of contact for teachable cannabis moments through PR, Grow Tours, and any other function looking to learn more about Curaleaf and cannabis in general
  • Hybrid product expert/marketer/content manager with the ultimate goal to increase product sales and achieve greater authenticity of our cannabis brands with product expertise/marketing that enables trade/consumer conversion and sets best practices in the industry and consumer loyalty
  • Build brand product focused educational decks, sell sheets, and inform national education strategy on training with Brand Team(s), coordinate content for blogs, campaigns, sustaining launches and offer insight to how best to educate consumers and encourage purchases of highlighted products 
  • Informs best ways in on campaign moments that center around education with Creative and Brand Teams 
  • Consult marketing campaign assets with product lens in mind across brands for best showcase of product, flower, or strain specific approach 
  • Competitive Set 
  • Content Creation evergreen @ brand focused driving sales enablement and repeat purchase 
  • Brand Education Programming – with products at the focus 
  • Maintaining and developing an educational content library and tools for vertical brands, general cannabis knowledge
  • Owner of cascading information and national educational strategy to field teams via retail and sales training teams and systems 
  • Consultant on brand advocacy and engagement programs
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 25%

 What You’ll Bring: 

  • 10+ years of experience in content marketing and social media, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience developing content and social media strategy with proven results.
  • Proficiency in brand and product marketing.
  • Expert in understanding how both brand and product communications work together to drive revenue and customer loyalties.
  • Demonstrate a keen comprehension of visual design principles and possess a deep appreciation for the symbiotic relationship between captivating copy and impactful visual elements.
  • Expert in content management systems balancing requirements from various stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop high-quality stories.
  • Masterful storyteller who engages and influences others to align to a vision. A gift for bringing clarity where there is ambiguity.
  • Experience with integrated marketing and content operations.
