How you can help make a better world of work

As a key member of our IT Operations Team, our Senior Systems Engineer will help us mature and scale our technology ecosystem that supports our internal operations globally.

You will develop, implement, maintain, and administer our SaaS Enterprise Applications, systems and services. You'll also be responsible for implementing good engineering practices and capability; including security, patching, networking, monitoring, scaling, automation and factors contributing to overall reliability.

The IT Operations Team thrives at the intersection of technology and people and is comprised of folks with strong technical, customer service, and communication skills. This role is perfect for someone who has a strong internal drive, like to solve problems, and can define their own priorities, requirements, and goals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Given the in-person support required for this role, it requires someone who can attend our Melbourne (Richmond) office a minimum of 3 days per week. 

As part of this team of amazing humans, 

You will:

  • Provide escalated 2nd and 3rd level technical support, troubleshooting and fault rectification of issues relating to Infrastructure & Cloud services
  • Proactively monitor and maintain systems and relative documentation
  • Use Jira Service Management to maintain and update activities in a timely and professional manner
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Identity Management Platforms (Okta + AD), Network Infrastructure & Windows / Linux environments
  • Providing technical guidance and assistance to other Systems Engineers and Administrators
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Provide broad technical support for project build, test and solution deployment activities
  • Maintain high standards of change management control
  • Perform problem management and root cause analysis
  • Plan, deliver and report on the regular scheduled and proactive maintenance on Systems and Services
  • Write scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate tasks and processes
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve end-to-end service issues

About you:

  • You’ve come from a digital environment, with a proven track record in designing, building, and scaling cloud based applications environments in a secure way
  • Solid understanding of a wide range of IT technologies - servers, virtualisation, networking, MDM and cloud to name just a few.
  • You’ve a strong understanding of Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence & Trello)
  • You’ve worked across a range of applications, including implementing Active Directory whilst also understanding identity management platforms such as Okta
  • You’re open-minded and excited to work with a host of talented people, advise and teach others while learning yourself from the amazing people we have on board at Culture Amp
  • You’ve helped define ITSM Operational processes and procedures and worked closely with a security team to ensure the business can maintain its security posture and attain/retain various industry frameworks & certifications (SOC, ISO etc)
  • You’ve got a growth mindset and are resilient to the needs of a hyper-growth environment
