The role you'll play: 

The UI/UX Designer for our web engineering department will be coming on board at an exciting time. We have an exceedingly robust new platform to be designed. We have lots of filtering, controls, charts and other outputs that need someone to design them with the user experience in mind. We have lots of client feedback from our existing platform, and want to take that, our ideas, and meld them together into the platform that will carry us into the future.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop platform-wide UI/UX strategies for our platforms

  • Create wireframes and other suitable prototypes of user interfaces

  • Work with customers and product management to gather and refine product requirements

  • Build storyboards to conceptualize designs and communicate project plans to clients and product development teams

  • Synthesize user research and work with customers to test usability

  • Platform workflow and usability testing

We're looking for someone with:

The successful candidate must have experience in UX design, as well as knowledge of modern design tools, usability and interface design, and data visualization concepts.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX/UI design

  • Proven experience in all areas of product design: user research, experience, interaction, and visual design

  • Experience creating storyboards and workflow mapping

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment

  • Strong written and interpersonal skills when communicating with team

  • Experience with geospatial user experiences and data presentation a plus

  • 3+ years experience using Figma or similar tooling

It would also be great if you had: 

  • Experience in a small team / start up environment

  • Experience in finance or fin-tech
