About the Role

The VP of Data Evaluation and Analytics, plays a pivotal role in leveraging sophisticated data to unveil consumer insights and spearhead strategic initiatives. Central to our ethos, this role demands a blend of hands-on leadership and innovative thinking to elevate our consumer insights offerings. The individual will be instrumental in evaluating new data sets and synergizing them with our existing data assets, ensuring our insights remain unmatched in precision and relevance.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on Leadership: Chart the course for data evaluation and the development of automation frameworks to expedite data partnership decisions. Drive innovation within our consumer insights offerings through proactive leadership.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with internal teams. Translate intricate data into compelling insights to tackle business challenges head-on.
  • Strategic Planning: Actively contribute to Consumer Edge's business strategy, ensuring data analytics and AI initiatives are perfectly aligned with overarching company goals. Define and meticulously track key performance indicators to gauge success.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Foster a culture rich in innovation and continuous learning. Mentor and expand a team of data scientists and analysts, equipping them with the necessary skills and resources to thrive.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in data analytics and consumer insights, underscored by a proven leadership track record.
  • Profound grasp of consumer behavior and market research methodologies.
  • Mastery in data analytics and the utilization of alternative data, with a keen ability to distill technical concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strategic outlook, focused on furnishing tangible consumer insights.
  • Outstanding communication abilities and adept at managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Willingness to undertake travel as needed for global initiatives and client engagements.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python is essential.
  • Familiarity with forecasting models and back testing frameworks.
  • A background in investment analysis or a CFA Designation is highly advantageous.

Salary

The annual base salary for this role is between $225,000 – $250,000 based on experience and qualifications.  The position is also eligible for a variable bonus and company equity.
