The Brand team develops and executes marketing initiatives that work to position Constant Contact in the market, and build awareness of our brand amongst consumers and potential customers. The Brand Marketing Manager - Events & Activations will play an integral role on the team by establishing and executing event best practices that are applied across our event experiences globally. This individual will manage the brand experience for in-person events and activations, including event promotion, communications, display, staffing and inventory management. They will collaborate with regional teams to apply best practices for events and activations across the organization. We are looking for a detail-oriented, creative thinker for this exciting role. The ideal candidate has education or real-world experience related to consumer or small business marketing and has a strong ability to juggle many responsibilities of competing priority at the same time.
What you’ll do:
- Manage all aspects of external event planning and execution, including marketing plans, creative development, contract negotiation, budget tracking, logistics, staffing and reporting.
- Establish and maintain event best practices like pre-event walkthroughs, on-site experience, post-event communications and reporting all to ensure consistent brand experience.
- Attend and execute events to ensure successful end-to-end completion.
- Research, find and track new small business event opportunities and provide recommendations for events to attend, sponsor or speak in the future.
- Develop and maintain a calendar for confirmed events and activations.
- Prepare contingency plans during events to minimize potential issues by anticipating and addressing challenges before they occur.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to execute the events plan. This includes tracking and updating details of upcoming events and ensuring all teams are aligned.
- Manage relationships with external vendors leveraged for event operations, logistics and support; evaluate their services/performance and make recommendations as necessary.
- Leverage expertise, data and insights gained through program management to optimize program performance, efficiency and results.
- Work with the team to ensure initiatives are measurable and aligned to brand team goals; communicate clearly with team leaders and report on key performance indicators, providing recommendations for improvements / optimization.
Who you are:
- Bachelor degree, with 5-7 years of years experience in a fast-paced, data-driven marketing environment; brand marketing, event planning, and influencer marketing experience is a plus!
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously; comfort in a rapidly changing environment with competing and shifting priorities
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to collaborate and communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders. Experience working with an agency (internal or external) is a plus.
- Comfortable with data and making recommendations based on what you learn.
- Experienced operator: Proven ability to both identify opportunities and drive action to pursue those opportunities
- Strong collaborator with track-record of results working cross-functionally with team of peers spanning multiple functions
- Self-starter who can operate with limited guidance but knows when to ask for help
- Outstanding flexibility, adaptability and sense of accountability
- You take pride in your work, have a sense of humor and enjoy being a part of a fun, collaborative team
- Ability to travel up to 30%, including internationally
