By joining ClickUp's organic growth team, this role will be significant in driving exponential growth and shaping the company's future success.

As a lead editor, you will specifically fuel our content-led growth strategy, driving traffic, signups, and revenue through our content engine. You’ll build systems for scale to bring together content, SEO, and distribution to build a growth engine that consistently delivers results.

The Role

  • Be our lead editor and create high-quality content at scale. You’ll internalize ClickUp’s voice and tone and be the champion that ensures each article we publish meets our quality standards and has that ClickUp ‘magic dust.’
  • Have great judgment and taste in what high-quality content looks like
  • Manage the content pipeline, develop SOPs and transparent processes to collaborate with contractors/agencies to ensure each piece of content meets quality standards and SEO requirements and is delivered within the set SLAs and guidelines.
  • Familiarise yourself with the content strategy, our tiered content structure, clusters, and the hub & spoke model of scaled content. Understand our personas, our growth levers, and why we win.
  • Learn our product inside-out and become a subject matter expert. You’ll use the product internally to manage our editorial pipeline.
  • Ensure our content follows our style guidelines, including formatting capitalization, and follow copy-editing best practices.
  • Own the content lifecycle end to end, from keyword research to content briefs to pushing CMS-ready content; ensure all the pieces and stakeholders work smoothly together and consistently drive efficiency and scale.
  • Ensure adherence to the Quality Rubric and ensure each piece is scored against the rubric. Keep a database of go-live content and ensure the process is consistently improved.
  • Drive content velocity, scaling content pieces to keep up with the demands of the business. Work closely with the content and SEO teams to ensure tight alignment on the content, and each piece serves its objective.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in an editorial role, working with direct reports or freelancers and/or agencies, ideally at a SaaS company
  • A strong understanding of how content marketing works, what good content looks like, and the ability to build content engines
  • Attention to detail, familiarity with US English, and prior copy editing and proof-reading experience
  • A demonstrated self-starter who moves fast and can take ownership of the editorial pipeline and execute relentlessly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to distill complex analytical solutions into actionable insights
