As a Lead Engineer on our Capital Markets team, you will lead a project team of engineers working on our Derivative Valuations platform.  Providing accurate and timely derivative valuations at scale is foundational to our business. In this role, you will be helping to build models and tools that help us accurately value, review and support valuations for Interest Rate, FX and Commodity derivatives.  Solutions include both internal valuations models and tooling to support operational teams.

In this role you will:

  • Manage a team of software engineers and testers to oversee technical delivery of our Derivative Valuations platform roadmap.
  • Coach team members and conduct yearly reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Build out and maintain a technical roadmap to modernize legacy parts of our platform.
  • Partner closely with product managers and business stakeholders to define domains and architecture.
  • Design and develop our Derivative Valuation platform using .NET to build scalable and reliable applications.
  • Partner with our architecture team to develop and implement a cloud migration strategy.
  • Ensure that code follows best practices for scalability, fault tolerance, and resilience, allowing applications to handle high traffic and maintain high availability.
  • Design and implement data persistence strategies, including selecting appropriate databases and implementing data models and access layers.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track the performance, health, and security of the platform, allowing for efficient debugging and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct thorough testing, including unit testing and integration testing, to ensure the stability and reliability of the platform.

  • You will build tools to automate external or internal workflows to serve our clients across multiple sectors and directly contribute to revenue growth and support recurring revenue streams or streamline internal operations and processes to positively contribute to our bottom line. 
  • You will help to foster an inclusive culture where technical excellence, delivery and collaboration is encouraged.   

Contributors to your success: 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience developing .NET applications in an agile scrum environment.
  • Strong experience in system architecture, design patterns and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with managing software engineers and testers.
  • Experience using .NET Core.
  • Experience building Cloud Native applications.
  • Experience with unit testing, Test-Driven Development, and mocking frameworks.
  • Understanding of continuous delivery principles and processes.
  • Understanding of REST principles, Service-oriented architecture, and API development.
