Our Company:

Seeing a psychiatrist can take up to 3 months and cost as much as $500. Shocked? Us too. That’s why we started Cerebral, a telemedicine-first mental health startup. We are breaking down the barriers to access to mental healthcare so that anybody can get the care and meds they need immediately and for just $99/month. We launched publicly in January 2020 and are growing at over 40% month-over-month, and need your help. 

The Role:

The Behavioral Lead will have responsibility for managing the Cerebral Therapy team, as well as maintaining their own client case load. This role will include ensuring safe and effective mental health services are provided to all patients in compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements and evidence-based guidelines.

Responsibilities:

 Recruiting

  • Work with recruiting team to ensure Therapist teams growth goals are met
  • Conduct mock interviews and assess candidates for clinical competence and cultural fi

Training

  • Own training entirely
    • Develop, maintain, and update all materials, videos, etc.
    • Conduct initial onboarding training
    • Be a resource for questions before/during/after training 
  •  
  • Develop ongoing training program calendar with Psychiatric Advisor 

Compliance and Regulatory

  • Work with Head of Clinical to ensure provider group is in compliance with regulatory guidelines

Day-to-day management in conjunction with Head of Clinical Operations

  • Run regular team meetings
  • Review metrics and deliver feedback
  • Audit EMR and coach on improving notes, patient interaction, clinical treatments, and compliance with Cerebral processes and policies
  • Continue to educate, monitor, and enforce Cerebral processes (eg. slack best practices) and policies
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Therapist Knowledge Bases, and other relevant documentation
    • Keep scripts up-to-date
  • Provide ongoing clinical guidance, support and education to team
    • Facilitate regular discussions and forums to share knowledge, determine best clinical approach, and to refine existing protocols on an ongoing basis
  • Improve the Therapy product
    • Work with team to create client-facing, Cerebral-branded materials and worksheets
    • Work with team to build out library of resources for clients
    • Work with product and engineering teams on client-facing connected health app
  • Maintain ongoing client case load

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience
  • 2+ years in day-to-day management of behavioral mental health specialists teams 10+ 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Passion for improving access to quality mental health care
