ABOUT THIS TEMP POSITION

This is a temporary position and the length of assignment is estimated to go from mid-July to December 31, 2024. The length of the assignment is always dependent on business need and dates may change (either ending sooner, or being extended). While the assignment would be at the Alliance, if selected, you would be an employee of a temporary employment agency that we would connect you with.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

This position will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager and partner closely with another Recruiter and HR Specialist. It will initially be focused on supporting our Temporary Staffing Program recruitment. The Recruiter is responsible for coordinating and performing professional-level activities for all recruitment lifecycle steps, from facilitating planning meetings to performing compensation analysis and coordinating onboarding with our temporary staffing agency partners. Utilizing our online Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Greenhouse, you'll build and post jobs, screen applications, design selection steps, and, with oversight from the Senior Recruiters, develop interview questions. You'll partner with hiring supervisors in a proactive way and ensure candidates have a positive experience in their interactions with the Alliance by, developing professional correspondence, communicating accurately and timely, soliciting candidate feedback, and making recommendations for improvements. You will also schedule some interview types as well as participate on panel interviews. 

The organization's Temporary Staffing needs are time-sensitive and high-volume, so a sense of urgency, while also ensuring quality is essential. You'll also complete accurate and timely data entry so attention to detail is critical too. You will have the opportunity to support our new temporary employees on their first day through getting cross-trained and in the rotation of leading the New Temporary Employee Orientation and support work on updating the presentation and helping to streamline onboarding. You could also take a proactive approach to sourcing talent and collaborate on candidate engagement campaigns in our CRM. 

Depending on the business need, this Recruiter may also get cross-trained on running full-lifecycle recruitments for regular positions.

We are looking to add additional recruiting capacity to our internal amazing Talent Acquisition Team to support the organization in filling new positions in 2024. While the assignment would be at the Alliance, if selected, you would be an employee of a temporary employment agency that we would connect you with.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager and working closely with our Lead and Senior Recruiters, this Recruiter is responsible for coordinating and performing responsible professional level activities for all recruitment lifecycle steps from planning meeting through offer for a variety of positions. Utilizing our online Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Greenhouse you'll build and post jobs, screen applications, design selection steps and with oversight from the Senior Recruiters, develop interview questions. You'll partner with hiring supervisors in a proactive way and ensure candidates have a positive experience in their interactions with the Alliance by partnering with the staff responsible for scheduling, developing professional correspondence, communicating accurately and timely, soliciting candidate feedback, and making recommendations for improvements. You'll also complete accurate and timely data entry so attention to detail is critical.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

    • Knowledge of:
      • The basic principles and practices of recruitment and selection and equal employment opportunity
      • Applicable federal and state laws related to recruitment and selection
      • Principles and practices of customer service
      • Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Greenhouse
    • Ability to:
      • Develop and implement creative and effective recruitment strategies that attract a diverse and qualified applicant pool
      • Work collaboratively with hiring supervisors and managers to plan, manage and implement recruitment activities
      • Identify issues, gather and analyze information, reach logical and sound conclusions, make recommendations for action, and recognize matters requiring escalation to a higher-level staff member
      • Organize work, establish priorities, manage multiple recruitments and projects, respond to changing priorities, and meet deadlines
      • Work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team and work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
      • Exercise tact and diplomacy and demonstrate strong customer service skills when communicating in person, in writing, and by phone
    • Education and Experience:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or a related field
      • Three years of experience as a Recruiter, performing professional-level Talent Acquisition activities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be qualifying
        • Healthcare experience or experience conducting recruitment activities in a non-profit or public sector environment is preferred
        • Internal talent team experience is also preferred 

 

OTHER INFORMATION

  • We are in a hybrid work environment, and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.
  • While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.

The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below. 

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).

Santa Cruz County Pay Range
$40$44 USD
