Now, what we need is for someone with expertise that can help support the selling, scoping and implementation of these new products..
The CB Insights Solutions Engineer will work closely with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers and Strategic Account Managers at CB Insights to articulate the value proposition, fundamentals and technical points of the CB Insights Data Feed and API products. The Solutions Engineer will create a great experience for customers with these products by ensuring informational clarity on their operations, laying out a clear plan for implementation and project managing onboarding to completion. You will also serve as the internal voice of the customer for suggestions on continued improvement on the CBI Data Feed and API products. To be clear, API and Datafeeds are just the beginning. As we grow and innovate, we will launch new products and get closer to our clients to architect and implement technical solutions that they need. The solutions engineer will have a key role in developing and executing on this space. This individual's performance is based on specific metrics associated with customer on-boarding and adoption.

Your Main responsibilities:
Support Account Executives, Customer Success Managers and Strategic Account Managers in describing the Data Feed and API solutions to customers and answering questions regarding implementation
Understand customer requirements and share best practices for implementing common use cases.
Lead implementation of these products for customers, including creating technical content and engaging customer engineers
Provide ongoing support for additional product questions as needed
Ensure functional knowledge of API with both customers as well as the Go To Market organization at CBI.
Maintain and improve onboarding/implementation documentation
Work closely with product and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and suggestions for continued development
Work on RFPs / customer’s technical requirements with the Sales team.
Prepare demos and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate the business value of various use cases
Assist developers with debugging their code in a variety of programming languages.
Document the architectural solutions that customers have designed and deployed for internal use.
What you bring to the table:
5+ years prior experience in technology sales or solutions engineering
A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and demonstrated experience in API implementation.
A firm understanding of multiple programming languages for API development such as Python, cURL, or R.
Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman, Filezilla and PuTTY.
Capable of managing key customer communications with multiple stakeholders, ensuring a valuable overall experience with the CBI brand.
Great communication skills
Strong collaborator. Able to bring internal parties together to work toward the best solution for our customers.
Detail oriented with great organization.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and leverage strong prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a comparable field is preferred.
