We are looking for a talented and inquisitive Senior Software Development Engineer in Test whose drive for learning and determination for continuous improvement aligns with our ambitious, fast-growing and transforming company. Based in Boston, you will be a key player in planning, designing, building and testing the features of our next generation cloud platform that combines digital video assets, wearable data and athlete information to provide insights and analytics to coaching/support staff, sports scientists and athletes to assist in optimizing athlete performance. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Architect and implement a UI test automation platform for a suite of products used by professional and collegiate sports teams to manage video and associated metadata, in a Client/Server/Cloud software environment
- Actively participate in a cross-functional agile scrum team
- Mentor and train other SDETs and QA Engineers on the test automation framework
- Collaborate closely with other agile scrum teams
- Learn product test plans and customer workflows to design impactful automated tests
- Maintain code quality and best practices through code reviews, with an eye towards maintainable, efficient, modular, and reliable code
- Help the team continuously evaluate and improve its development, test, and planning processes through sprint retrospectives
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years experience as a QE or SDET
- Experience automating UI testing of Windows desktop applications and mobile apps
- A history of architecting and delivering UI test automation frameworks from the ground up to support releases of customer-facing applications
- Ability to design an extensible and scalable test framework in such a way that other team members can easily contribute new tests
- Strong manual testing foundation and understanding of QA test methodologies
- Ability to mentor other SDETs and collaborate with QA Engineers
- Experience integrating automation with a continuous integration pipeline
- Experience working with relational databases (MS SQL Server preferred)
- Experience with test case management software (Test Rail)
- Experience working with a Cloud based platform
- Strong object-oriented design skills
- Understanding of agile software development methodologies
- Experience with API test frameworks is a plus
- Experience working with video or audio editing software is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
