Carta is hiring an experienced Engineering leader to join our Financial Products team to build Carta’s next generation banking and lending services. You will help to deliver reliable and scalable financial solutions on the Carta platform.
You’ll spend a third of your time recruiting and building the team, a third mentoring and managing the Engineers that report to you, and the final third helping set priorities, shaping technical direction, and creating the velocity necessary to land complex deliverables on time, including coding work yourself.
Applicants must have excellent people management skills, a strong technical background, and enjoy working closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
Collect requirements, develop technical strategy, and build the foundation for Carta's new Financial Products business unit.
Uphold our engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter
Recruit, retain, and scale a happy, healthy, productive team of top-notch Engineers
3+ years in a management role leading teams of 5+ engineers
5+ years Full stack or back-end engineering experience, with strong systems fundamentals
Strong industry financial services experience developing scalable production quality systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The proven ability to recruit and build a team
Experience working with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and build thoughtful solutions
Banking and/or lending industry experience
Python or Java expertise
