The Problems You'll Solve

At Carta, our employees set out on a mission to unlock the power of equity ownership for more people in more places. We believe that the problems we solve today unlock the opportunities of tomorrow. We are looking for a strong Product Manager to build solutions that deliver world-class subscription, billing, and contracting experiences. Because the Subscriptions team is a highly independent team working on the Carta platform, we’re looking for experienced and high-autonomy PMs who work well with large numbers of stakeholders, learn quickly to understand nuanced problems, and act confidently in building a roadmap to deliver value. From a technical perspective, you will go deep on complex problems by understanding the way recurring revenue is generated and tracked and how backend financial systems interact with the platform. Over time, you will expand your scope as we introduce new products, new business units, and additional functionality.

In this role you will:

  • Identify and prioritize high impact problem statements
  • Interact with stakeholders to gather expertise, understand requirements, and document functional specifications
  • Partner with your engineering and systems counterparts to lead a cross-functional team to ship solutions iteratively and efficiently
  • Translate functional and technical specifications to detailed project breakdowns
  • Work with stakeholders across all areas of the business to get buy-in and with enablement teams to create training for new releases
  • Design testing plans based on functional specifications and oversee testing efforts
  • Design integrations between Carta’s custom software and off-the-shelf applications such as Zuora, NetSuite, Salesforce and Workato
  • Communicate a compelling vision and roadmap to your team and articulate the impact of your work
  • Use data to measure success, gain insight, and iterate on your feature set

The Team You'll Work With

As the size and scope of our business grows, so do the systems and teams that support that growth. Subscriptions is one such team at Carta. Embedded in the accounting and finance organization, our members are responsible for building scalable solutions around Carta’s billing and subscription systems, product-led growth, sales-led tooling, and other platform systems in accounting and finance. We have a broad-reaching impact on Carta’s business as a whole by enabling financial automation technology solutions leveraged by other teams at Carta to scale quickly. We work closely with our finance team partners, deal desk, sales organization, product teams, growth teams, and others across the Carta organization to lay the foundations for massive future growth. We also support the accounting and strategic finance team in providing accurate and timely information for reporting and analysis. If you like thinking through technical problems alongside a world-class team of financial experts, we’d love to talk!

About You

We are looking for a strong Product Manager who can drive strategy, ideation, prioritization, problem solving, and product delivery. If you are passionate about building intuitive solutions to complex problems that drive direct value to users, we would love to talk with you.

  • You have a history of delivering valuable products and outcomes across a career in product management, including at a senior level
  • You have a bias to action and the ability to quickly evaluate tradeoffs, prioritize, ship, and learn
  • You want to dive into problems related to subscription, growth, billing, and recurring revenue
  • You have strong project management skills and can keep a diverse group of stakeholders organized and motivated
  • You are able to drive and participate in technical discussions and contribute to architecture and design decisions
  • You are always in the weeds and always want to go deeper, becoming a functional and technical expert in each domain you touch
  • Prior experience working in FinTech and/or Platform a plus
  • An understanding of accounting and finance principles related to subscription billing, revenue, and other generic finance and accounting topics a plus

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
