Located in Doncaster, Rudie's Kitchen will be the place where all the magic happens, so to speak. It's where the tasty Butternut meals and treats will be gently cooked, using human-quality ingredients because, the way we see it, we wouldn't serve food to dogs that we wouldn't be happy to eat themselves. Butternut has come a long way since Kev & Dave (co-founders) hand-delivered the first Butternut Box, and we are now looking for brilliant people to join the team for this next part of the story.

📣 A bit about the role: 

As part of the role, you will help us hire the best talent that is out there! What can be better than that! We are looking for someone who is hugely passionate about consistently looking for talent bar raisers that will drive and grow our business in the right direction, ensuring we have fair and inclusive processes, attract a diverse team and hiring the best team out there!

  • Develop a recruitment process that makes it the best candidate experience
  • Work with hiring managers to create exciting, inclusive and & engaging job descriptions (dog puns encouraged)
  • Partner with hiring managers on role briefings, clearly understand the needs of the role, communicate the recruiting plan and agree stakeholder communication plan and timeframes
  • Partner with broader People team to achieve fast paced operator hires by overseeing the team focused on CV and initial phone screen, reporting on numbers, identifying backfills and new hires as new shifts gets identified and grow
 
  • Conduct Operator role final interviews with respective operations team leaders, Shift Co-Ordinators and Operator
  • Conduct CV and initial screening for all other internally owned roles and go to market strategy
  • Work in partnership with People Generalist who will conduct first round interviews with respective functional manager
  • Partner and own relationship with our recruitment partners Talent Bar Raiser Process Implementation
  • Identify and develop interview training in partnership with Training & Induction
  • Develop quirky, varied and forward thinking interview guides linked to our

Talent Bar Raiser Process Implementation

 
  • Develop a fair and consistent interview scoring matrix
  • Ensure job description, process and interview notes compliance both recording, storing and maintained in line with GDPR standards and right to work practices
  • Coach and provide feedback to interviewers on good interview practices
  • Develop a personalised and actionable feedback process to all candidates - we want everyone to get the development and feedback to find a job
  • In partnership with the People Generalist, develop a streamlined process from hiring to onboarding to ensure a consistent experience

Talent & Data

  • Create a balanced scorecard of hiring metrics - candidate experience feedback, cycle time, diversity, type of hire
  • Report out data and improvement actions to Head of People at the site
  • Develop a pool of candidates for future pipeline
  • Partner with local councils, job networks and government job schemes to maximise opportunities for the local community and ourselves
  • Identify and develop apprentice, graduate and technical recruitment programs
  • Ensure compliance and improvement activities on recruitment process within our workforce management system
  • Devise an appropriate talent identification approach tailored to the role to attract bar raiser talent and diverse short list of candidates
