At Butternut, we put the food back into dog food. We believe dogs deserve to eat the healthiest, most natural and tastiest food with none of the nasties. That’s why we make freshly prepared dog food. Cooked like you would at home. Delivered in perfect portions.
Our goal is to help dogs live healthier, happier and longer lives whilst leaving humans smiling after every interaction. We’ve come a long way since our co-founders (Kev & Dave) hand-delivered the first Butternut Box, we now feed a lot of dogs across the UK - but we want to feed dogs everywhere. And to do this, we need a team of brilliant people who share that ambition to come and work with us.
👋 A bit about the role:
- Be accountable for the timely fulfilment of high-quality customer orders
- Provide supervision and support to the fulfilment team in order to meet key operational metrics of quality, packing accuracy and packing rates
- Assist the Team Leader by monitoring & improving your teams performance in order to achieve growth and accuracy in a supportive environment
- Work in a safe way following all appropriate safety procedures by maintaining a tidy and hygienic working environment.
- Point of contact for Team Leader for regular performance review meetings
- Occasional attendance and contribution at daily review meetings
- Other general tasks waste processing, order packing etc.
- Work to relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
- Work well with multiple functional teams including Engineering, Technical, Production and Warehousing.

- Previous relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Committed to food quality & safety
- Comfortable working with raw materials such as beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb
- Flexible, pragmatic, resilient & humble
- Good level of speaking English

- This role is 100% based in our kitchen in Blythe, Doncaster
- The role is currently open to internal applicants only to work in Fulfilment as Lead Operator.
