OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE: We are looking for an exceptional candidate to provide a comprehensive counseling program for children at a K-8 grade school. The ideal candidate is one who can effectively consult with parents, teachers, and staff to meet the dynamic needs of our students and can provide individualized and group counseling support for students. This is a part-time position (15-20 hours per week) that will work in collaboration with our lead School Counselor.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Provide direct services including individual counseling and group guidance to help students cope effectively with personal, social, academic, and family concerns
Provide indirect services including consult and collaboration with parents, teachers, administrators, and supporting agencies concerning the needs of students
Coordinate with school staff to provide supportive instructional classroom activities that relate to student personal, social, and academic development of students
Communicate effectively with all members of the school and community
Support the mission and vision of Bullis Charter School
Continue professional growth
Perform related duties as requested
WHO YOU ARE:
You are detail-oriented, hardworking, and can execute at a high level
You can operate independently in a fast-paced environment
You have a Master's Degree or advanced degree or equivalent standard from a recognized college or university.
You have a Pupil Personnel Services Credential, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social work), LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).
You met the basic skills requirement.
