Investment Engine Technology Department
The Investment Engine Technology team at Bridgewater engineers systems to understand the world. These systems synthesize and industrialize our global understanding into a hive mind of macroeconomic knowledge which enables us to educate and collaborate with the world’s most influential central banks and policy makers and carefully and strategically manage the world’s most important capital. Our technologists are engineering highly available, high performing and highly secure cloud platforms and infrastructure which support and scale our investing operations.
Critical Infrastructure Team
Our Critical Infrastructure team provides the core, hybrid-cloud infrastructure technology to enable our Investment Engine business goals and entire company operations. The team is made up of Architects, Engineers and DevOps teams who are building and running all our infrastructure platforms including Cloud Solutions, Physical Data Centers, Networking, Security, Storage, Operating Systems, Databases, and Middleware.
The Windows Platform Architect will shape the way Bridgewater uses the Windows platform currently and strategically into the future. You are a hands-on leader who will partner with our architects and engineering leadership to deliver robust, scalable and state-of-the-art cloud and physical data center solutions supported by infrastructure and platform as code and as a service capability (IaC, IaaS, PaaS). Core Windows platform responsibilities encompass Windows Server, Windows Server Datacenter, Windows Virtual Machines and Windows Cloud.
- 8 to 10+ years of experience in Windows Server ecosystems
- Expert level of understanding of Windows technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Windows Containerization, PowerShell and Virtual Machines
- Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Hyper-V, Microsoft System Center or other IaC, IaaS, PaaS tools is a plus
- Expert knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Python, C/C++, Scala, Ruby, etc.)
- Strategic thinking, complex problem solving and analytical capabilities
- A degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering)
