Who You Are

Reporting to the SVP Finance, the Executive Director, Corporate FP&A will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial strategy, driving financial planning through insightful analysis, and supporting decision-making processes at the corporate level. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of BridgeBio.

Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Forecasting:

  • Lead the development of the company's annual operating plan and long-range strategic plan, working closely with executive leadership and department heads
  • Drive the quarterly forecasting process, providing accurate and timely updates to reflect changes in business conditions and market dynamics
  • Develop comprehensive financial models and scenarios to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and assess key drivers of revenue and expenses
  • Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for executive management and the board of directors, highlighting key insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations to provide financial insights and support external communications with investors and analysts

M&A Due Diligence and Integration:

  • Lead financial due diligence efforts for potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, assessing financial risks and opportunities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop integration plans and execute post-acquisition integration activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives

Capital Allocation and Investment Analysis:

  • Evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation decisions, conducting rigorous financial analysis and ROI assessments
  • Assess the financial impact of new product launches, research initiatives, and business development opportunities, providing recommendations to optimize returns

Strategic Planning and Decision Support:

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and refine corporate strategies, providing financial insights and scenario analysis to inform strategic priorities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive management, offering strategic guidance and financial expertise to support key business initiatives and investments

Team Leadership and Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing Corporate FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, focusing on corporate finance and strategic planning
  • Extensive experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with a deep understanding of industry dynamics and financial drivers
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in forecasting techniques, scenario analysis, and valuation methodologies
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of effectively leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear and actionable insights
  • Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach, coupled with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • This position is based at our corporate headquarters in San Francisco, with occasional travel as needed

At BridgeBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits. Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.
