Who we are

Bloom Works is a civic technology company that believes better government services start with putting people first. We partner with federal, state, and local agencies and purpose-driven organizations to guide equitable, accessible, intuitive, and functional improvements to services and benefits that impact the public. We create a better experience for everyone by applying our expertise in product management, content strategy, UX design, research, and software engineering. Our approach to projects includes iterating alongside our partners and building on past lessons, with the ultimate goal of serving the public.

What this role entails

We’re hoping to bring on an organized, thoughtful, and collaborative Product and Delivery Manager to join other Bloom team members working on a federal engagement. You will be part of a caring and skilled team that includes a Product and Delivery Manager, many content strategists, UX designers, researchers, and engineers delivering on multiple tracks during this engagement.

You will need to know when to draw on your product management experience and when to lean into project management and delivery practices. For the first few months you will manage delivery for multiple and complex production timelines between Bloom content writers, designers, and government stakeholders. After production needs lessen, you will lead and/or support user research, technical discovery, and change management work streams.

About the engagement

This engagement will be working on an initiative to increase the equity of federally-funded projects by making it simpler, clearer, and more accessible to find, understand, and apply for grants.

This includes change management and eventually improving all parts of the grant research, application and award process.

  • Respect and empathize with client needs and internal processes, and also tactfully challenge ideas when there are other ways to better meet outcomes, deliver on user needs, and make services more equitable and inclusive
  • Hold direct responsibility for delivery of status updates, managing expectations, and producing reporting on project status.

What we’re looking for

  • 5-7  years of experience in the above areas, specifically in highly regulated or complex spaces

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
