How You Will Make an Impact:
As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a crucial part in all electrical aspects of building and maintaining our 42-mile Dune Express conveyor system. The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for adhering to all OSHA and MSHA standards while performing all job duties.
Responsibilities:
- Lead your team in safety complying with OSHA, MSHA, and Atlas policies and procedures.
- Work with outside Engineering firms to design new electrical equipment.
- Travel to various vendor locations and for audits and meetings. This will be more so during the design and construction phase.
- Review, understand, redline, and update electrical schematics, drawings, one lines, e-houses layouts, etc..
- Lead a team of field electricians on day-to-day task such as inspections, PMs, trouble shooting, reporting, etc..
- Review and approve time sheets, vacation request, POs and invoices.
- Attend training and certification courses required by the company.
- Developing, maintaining, and reporting on budgets both for OPEX and CAPEX
- Engaging with third party vendors for quotes and lead times
- Comply with OSHA and MSHA standards and annual testing on electrical equipment.
- In conjunction with senior supervision, may plan, staff, and organize field/shop positions.
- Interacts with project management, engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and schedule.
- Responsible for resolving direct report’s issues (lack of productivity, safety, quality, work interfaces, rework etc.) as required.
- Assist in obtaining personnel through Human Resources/Recruiting or network (as necessary).
- Assess work completion. Create punch lists.
- Advise senior level supervision of potential problems, work interference, schedule difficulties, etc. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Journeyman Electrical License with minimum 5 years industrial experience
- Minimum 5 years field leadership in industrial electrical
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, sit and climb or balance
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Capable of working Monday through Friday 6:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Room and board provided at or near the location of the job
- Must be able to tolerate working conditions associated with no air conditioning or heat
