JOB DESCRIPTION

The Mission of the Role

We are looking for a Finance Lead who is passionate about leading, owning, and building a world class financial reporting, data analytics, and operations organization for one or more of our operating companies. The role would be responsible for (i) owning all financial reporting and FP&A, (ii) being a thought partner on long-term strategic planning and growth initiatives, (iii) leading the day-to-day financial operations (invoicing, collections, vendor management, treasury, payroll, etc.), and (iv) owning operational due diligence and integration of new add-on acquisitions.

This role is highly strategic, analytical and data-oriented and is suited for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment.  The ideal candidate will be able to combine financial and analytical capabilities with a high level of emotional intelligence, to lead and grow our finance department and our business.  This role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer of the operating company.

Responsibilities

  • Drives strategic financial thinking across the business and is a thought partner to the CEO and leadership team on long-term strategic planning
  • Completely manages the financial reporting process in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including delivering the monthly reporting packages by the 20th of each month
  • Builds and owns budgets for all products/business lines and updates full-year forecasts on a monthly basis
  • Creates meaningful reporting dashboards that track operational KPIs, and alerts CEO to trends in the business that require change or amplification
  • Assists CEO with the creation of quarterly board materials
  • Automates, where possible, the financial reporting process using Intacct, Bill.com, Expensify, Paylocity and the other financial systems at their disposal
  • Runs payroll each pay period accurately and stays up-to-date on changes to HR/payroll law
  • Ensures cash is managed appropriately with the proper internal controls, and facilitates monthly cash sweeps to the parent company
  • Completes required audit documentation in an accurate and timely manner
  • Successfully completes the integration of any add-on acquisitions to ASG’s financial and administrative systems as part of the “First 90 Day Plan”
  • Leads, mentors, and develops team members, and is recognized as a trusted leader across the entire organization

Experience

  • 7+ years of public and private accounting, banking, and/or private equity experience, with increasing responsibility and 2+ years of experience directly managing a team
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting and experience with the audit process
  • Experience with M&A and on-boarding, add-on acquisitions a plus
  • Proficient at complex financial modeling and budgeting
  • Experience working with a SaaS or related technology product
  • Experience with our core financial operating systems – Intacct, Paylocity, Bill.com, Expensify
  • 4-year degree in finance, accounting, or related program
  • CPA a plus, but not required
