Purpose of Position: 

The Director of Marketing at Keela plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction and ensuring its brand presence thrives in the highly competitive nonprofit software market. This role involves crafting and executing comprehensive marketing strategies focused on demand generation and revenue growth. 

Keela is in a growth phase and we are looking for a strong marketing leader to accelerate our organic growth and market penetration. As the marketing leader, you will own the full acquisition funnel, developing strategies and playbooks to increase demand and generate new traffic, better nurture our existing customers, and accelerate customer marketing to drive higher LTV. 

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with Keela's product development, sales, and customer success efforts. You will also oversee a talented team of marketing professionals, guiding them towards their efforts in digital marketing, content creation, social media management, and event planning.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development and execution of annual marketing strategies, focusing on demand generation and enhancing customer lifetime value (LTV). 
  • Build programs and initiatives to drive net new demand and traffic for our products, meeting key pipeline and ARR add goals. 
  • Direct the marketing plan, prioritize resources (both people and budget), and oversee performance reporting. 
  • Oversee the management and performance of the marketing team by providing support, guidance, coaching, and mentorship, while fostering a culture of innovation and high performance. 
  • Oversee reporting and tracking of all marketing metrics, emphasizing data analytics to inform marketing strategies. 
  • Manage marketing systems, and websites to stay current with tech solutions, changing trends, and best practices. 
  • Be an active participant of Keela’s management team, attending meetings, voicing opinions, and ensuring personal and team accountability. 

Direct Reports: Digital Marketing Lead, Digital Designer, Marketing Specialist

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within SaaS 
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, including a minimum of 3 years as a people manager, with demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team 
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies 
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Strong ability to use, adopt, and manage technology quickly, staying informed about the latest marketing technologies and best practices 
  • Highly motivated and results-driven 
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector a huge bonus 
  • Experience with Hubspot and Salesforce considered an asset

Location: Remote

Base Salary: 100-120K CAD
