Senior Quality Assurance & Controls Analyst - fixed term contract

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as the main point of contact with Argo’s chosen outsourced partner (SGS), assisting with any data entry queries, system issues and/or procedure updates.
  • Assist in the documentation and implementation of ArgoGlobal underwriting control procedures ensuring compliance with Lloyd’s Minimum Standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Provide best in class support for all Underwriting teams, attending meetings and answering ad hoc system/data/process questions from underwriters and other stakeholders across the business including Finance, Compliance and IT.
  • Responsible for the coordination of month-end processes and the completion of various regulatory returns.
  • Coordinate regular internal controls reporting to Underwriting teams as well as to relevant Committees and Boards.
  • Ownership of gathering and supplying data for both internal and external audits, liaising with auditors to resolve any queries.
  • Represent the Quality Assurance and Controls Team in projects as required, contributing towards process improvements, digital initiatives and transformation programmes.

 

Role Requirements

  • Support the Quality Assurance and Controls Manager in embedding a robust control framework across International and facilitate associated reporting and analysis.
  • Key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, assisting with ad hoc underwriting queries and resolving issues.
  • Build a strong relationship with Argo’s chosen outsourced partner (SGS) to ensure data held within underwriting systems is accurate and up to date.
  • Produce required Underwriting, Committee and Board reporting.
  • Complete various regulatory returns and provide requested data for internal and external audits.
  • Represent the QA & Controls Team in projects, contributing to requirement gathering and system testing where required.

 

Skills/Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written, being able to write clear, precise and well organised documents, reports and Committee/Board papers.
  • Keen eye for detail with the ability to identify problems and subsequently propose and implement solutions
  • Relationship building - establishing and maintaining good working relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Exceptional organisational skills – being able to prioritise tasks and deliver on deadlines.

 

Qualifications

  • CII qualifications preferable although not essential

 

Experience

  • Insurance industry experience
  • Knowledge of the Lloyd’s Market essential
  • Experience of underwriting control environment and outsourcing desirable
