The Opportunity at Altana

The VP, Network role sits at the intersection of go-to-market (GTM), key account management, product strategy, and business operations, and is responsible for driving user network growth across the Altana Atlas. You will work cross-functionally with company leadership to devise, measure, and manage growth initiatives that result in 1) intra-organizational user network effects, 2) inter-organizational user network effects, 3) revenue growth, and 4) network workflows that build trust across global value chains.

You Will

  • Network Growth Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive network growth strategies that align with the company's overarching goals and objectives. Utilize a deep understanding of network dynamics and data analytics to identify areas of opportunity for network expansion. 
  • Network Optimization: Lead efforts to enhance network effects within our platform, driving user acquisition, engagement, and retention. Develop and implement strategies to foster community growth, increase platform stickiness, and maximize the value derived from network interactions. Partner with GTM and Product leadership to design viral GTM network motions, inclusive of content, pricing and packaging strategies, referral mechanisms, and user journeys.
  • Community Activation and Enablement: Direct and provide enablement with respect to customer community initiatives to motivate and enable accounts to enlist their customers, suppliers, and extended value chain networks to become active customers and users in the Atlas. Develop and implement a playbook for transforming customer champions into advocates in the market.
  • Product Strategy: Collaborate closely with product management and marketing teams to design pricing, packaging, and UX strategies that motivate network growth. Serve as the "Voice of the Network" in all product design and roadmapping activities, ensuring that all workflows are designed with corresponding network actions and value creation for connected nodes and users on the network.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage advanced analytics and insights to inform strategic decision-making. Devise, oversee, and manage against network growth and engagement KPIs, in partnership with finance, product, and GTM leadership. Mine usage data to uncover network collaboration patterns and antipatterns. Partner with product leadership to evolve product design and UX to enable and amplify network growth and engagement.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing growth team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive individual and collective success. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

You Have

  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth within highly complex, data-oriented tech businesses, preferably in a SaaS/PaaS environment.
  • Deep understanding of network effects and their impact on business growth, coupled with extensive experience leveraging data analytics to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities, with a demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

This role is based in New York City and candidates must be within commuting distance from our Brooklyn, NY offices.
