Job Description
Munda Otsogola Project (MOP) is a PES-based project implemented in Zomba and Dedza districts. You will manage all Munda Otsogola Project activities in the district and ensuring that the PES/TREE department meets all its district execution targets on farmer enrollment, tree production and planting, and loan repayment. You will report to the Innovations Coordinator and you will manage at least 10 field assistant.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Field Team Management - Recruit seasonal staff, Enhance the growth of direct reports, Build team capacity, Track and support field team performance management and provide feedback to HQ.
- District Level Operations Management and Coordination - Implement tree production and distribution, Consolidate weekly measurables from field team, Conduct field visits to support the team, Troubleshoot problems and offer solutions, Manage delivery of inputs, Monitor field team tasks' execution, Manage operation payment requests, and Scout potential project sites.
- Communication and Coordination with Partners - Liaise with district partners on operational elements, participate in Community & District level partner meetings, Disseminate relevant information, resources, and best practices to farmers and other district partners through different channels, and Facilitate meetings, or focus groups with farmers to gather specific project insights
Top Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Rural Development, Community Development, or a related field, or equivalent diploma with extensive relevant experience will be considered.
- 2-3 years demonstrated experience in tree nursery production, community engagement, and partnership development.
- Knowledge of forestry/environmental management/agricultural practices and challenges in the local context is desirable.
- An understanding of community dynamics, including cultural norms, district/village institutional structures, and communication patterns.
- Exhibit a display of independence while fostering collaboration within a dynamic team.
- Proficiency in performing computer functions such as emails, and basic Microsoft Excel functions.
- Fluency in English and Chichewa required
- Motorcycle license as a requirement
