Key Job Responsibilities

  • Making sure that monthly inventory reconciliations are submitted to the Global Logistics Team by the 3rd  of each month 
  • Support in input forecasting/ ordering in close collaboration with local and global stakeholders 
  • Ensure accurate and timely inventory reconciliation: Execute all relevant data QC to monitor correct and timely input movement records which are the basis for variance tracking
  • Diagnose and resolve causes of inventory variances/discrepancies
  • Forecast & Plan input allocation on warehouse level during receiving period
  • Implement and enforce inventory policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Ensure exceptional KPI performances for all regional warehouses: 0.1% shrink, 0.25% variance, and timely monthly reconciliation (by the 3rd of the month)
  • Look into internal Warehouse transfer requests and identify which warehouse to move stock from
  • Lead Warehouse Operations including managing and coordinating the delivery and receipt of Inputs at the Warehouse. Plan and prepare warehouse layouts to ensure efficient maximization of storage space and warehouse security 
  • Work hand in hand with field facing departments to plan and execute deliveries 
  • Gather information about location and accessibility of  distribution sites within assigned district 
  • Prepare needed materials for distribution 
  • Prepare, direct, optimize and coordinate distribution schedules for input deliveries 
  •  Liaise with logistics vendors, stakeholder departments and OAF staff to ensure proper use of services and delivery of inputs.
  • Negotiate affordable prices and draft conditions of service  
  • Assist in preparing and managing contracts for truck hires during input delivery. 
    Logistics Roster data management inclusive on maintaining metrics, and analyzing data to assess performance and implement improvements 
  • Ensure proper management of warehouse data and solar warranty program Conduct internal warehouse audits. 
  • Liaise with the Product innovations team to sample seeds and send them for testing to the laboratories 
  • Participate and contribute to Systems Meetings and strategic Task Forces as necessary 
  •  Ensure all OAF LOG facilities are well maintained and secure
  • Maintaining communication and expectations with Global Inputs team related to inputs receiving, input quality, required documentation and inventory levels by lot
  • Ensure space is being used efficiently in warehouses and QC process is being followed
  • Work with Logistics Lead to draft department OKR’s and acting as lead whip for OKR execution
  • Supporting HQ in recruiting and hiring of new positions within the logistics department
  • Mentor and develop Logistics Supervisor / Officer.
  • Assisting in monitoring new projects performances 

Top Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in Logistics and Data analysis
  • Diploma in Supply Chain / Logistics  / Business Administration. 
  • Good skills in : Google sheets / Excel / Project Management
  • Bachelor's Degree will be an advantage.
