AccuWeather is looking for a Marketing Analytics Intern to join our team for Summer 2018! This position will work out of our Headquarters office in State College, PA.
Who You Are
AccuWeather’s Marketing Team is looking for a Marketing Analytics Intern for the Spring semester. The Marketing Analytics Intern will be someone excited about equipping business leaders with actionable insights to drive business growth. The position will be up to 29 hours a week for 10-12 weeks throughout Summer 2018 and located in our headquarters in State College, Pennsylvania.
What You Will Be Doing
Provide campaign analytics support to the marketing team.
Support in planning and conducting primary research using quantitative and qualitative methods (e.g., surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews, usability testing) to benefit internal clients in business development, product development, user experience, and brand marketing.
Conduct secondary research on key industry issues, consumer trends, and competitive activity in the weather category and digital media publisher space, using syndicated data sources.
Create PowerPoint presentations to bring data to life with illustrative charts/graphs and powerful headlines.
Experience We Are Looking For
Current student working on undergraduate degree in Marketing or related field of study (e.g., business, psychology, sociology, communications).
Passionate about consumer insights research, marketing analytics, and/or competitive intelligence.
Have experience with, and enthusiasm for, qualitative research (focus groups, in-depth interviews) and quantitative methods (survey design, analysis, and statistics).
Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and a creative problem-solver.
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills.
Enjoy working on cross-functional teams and under tight deadlines.
Be proficient in SPSS, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
