The IT team is responsible for providing, supporting and maintaining workplace technology solutions, enabling collaboration and productivity for accufolk.
The team strives to be the trusted partner in proactively delivering and managing seamless, secure, scalable and innovative workplace technology solutions & services which enhance efficiency and productivity, and empower accufolk and Accurx in achieving its mission.
The purpose of the Head of IT is to ensure the IT function has a strategy that aligns with the company’s vision and requirements, that the team is delivering against their goals (roadmap, OKRs, projects and initiatives), and that the function operates as a high performing team.
The Head of IT will be responsible for the function and will line manage the whole function. They are also expected to interface with Senior Leadership across multiple parts of the business, to enable their team to achieve their goals.

- Define and evolve Accurx’s IT strategy, vision, and roadmap, aligning technology decisions with long-term business goals through engagement with senior stakeholders.
- Create the IT team’s operational plan, set SMART OKRs aligned with business priorities, and ensure cross-functional dependencies are clear.
- Ensure the security, reliability, scalability, and performance of IT systems, collaborating with the CISO and Security Engineering team.
- Manage the IT budget effectively, optimise costs, and oversee vendor relationships to balance strategic initiatives and operational needs.
- Drive adoption of new workplace technologies to improve productivity and foster a culture of innovation within the IT team.
- Deliver exceptional IT support focused on responsiveness and long-term solutions, enhancing collaboration and productivity.
- Define, measure, and report on IT KPIs, showcasing team impact and driving continuous improvement.
- Maintain a deep understanding of IT systems to inform strategy and prioritisation.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and functional leads across the organisation.
- Lead strategic, cross-functional IT projects with significant business impact.
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing IT team, ensuring resources meet strategic needs.
- Plan resourcing and drive hiring to support IT strategy and delivery.
- Clearly communicate team goals, progress, and blockers to the wider organisation.

- You have proven experience setting IT strategy and delivering operational plans in tech companies (250+ employees), scaling IT for high growth environments.
- You have strong leadership skills with a focus on empathy, adaptability, and execution; experience managing IT specialists, prioritising work, and fostering high-performing teams.
- You have broad and deep technical knowledge across cloud computing, SaaS, MDM, IAM, SSO, endpoint protection, ITSM, networking, and more, with hands-on experience managing and supporting key technologies like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Cisco Meraki, VMware, and others such as Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Linux, iOS/iPadOS, Android.
- You are Familiar with leveraging AI and innovative tools to optimise IT processes and drive business innovation.
- You are an excellent communicator and influencer with a track record of cross-functional collaboration and alignment across IT, engineering, and security teams.
- You are skilled in structured problem-solving, managing risk, driving change, and delivering complex projects at pace.
- You have an advanced understanding of risk mitigation and embedding organisational change to support continuous improvement.
