How you'll be contributing to Accurx as a Business Intelligence Lead...

As a Business Intelligence Lead, you’ll be leading the BI function at Accurx, providing crucial support to the Go-To-Market and Commercial teams by addressing their data, insights, and reporting requirements. With Accurx's widespread adoption in Primary Care, where we have led the way in transforming how patients and their healthcare teams communicate, we are now moving into other care settings. We’re used by 98% of GP Practices, 70% NHS Trusts and >300,000 healthcare staff!

We’re looking for our next hire to drive the maturity of company wide internal Power BI reports, as well ensuring teams are set up well to track their success.
Alongside supporting our commercial teams, you'll collaborate closely with Accurx’s Product Community to deliver insights via embedded Power BI product reports to NHS users to help them improve their day to day operations.

You’ll be joining a well-established data team and will be reporting directly to our Head of Data, (Fran 👋).

Your day to day tasks, should you choose to accept this mission 🤝...

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (internal or external) to understand their data requirements and objectives and translate those requirements into technical specifications
  • Drive and assist the BI function members in writing code, design reports and implement solutions that offer meaningful insights into key performance indicators and business metrics
  • Manage the BI function fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
  • Be the technical lead for Power BI by overseeing the design, development, release and maintenance of BI reports ensuring a consistent high standard across all reporting artefacts
  • Build & review data models to support business intelligence initiatives working closely with the Analytics Engineering sub-team to integrate new data if/when required
  • Promote and execute robust data governance practices
  • Facilitate and monitor data requests to identify and address data pain points within the GTM community, developing proactive solutions
  • Determine and implement the best processes for the Power BI ecosystem, balancing short-term and long-term needs

We'd really like to hear from you, if ...

  • You have had proven experience working in Business Intelligence with commercial stakeholders, specifically in spotting opportunities through the analysis of data
  • You have previous experience either mentoring, coaching or managing a small team
  • You have end-to-end hands-on experience in building business intelligence solutions for internal stakeholders, including metrics and KPIs and company wide goals and OKRs
  • You’re experienced in database languages (SQL/ PL-SQL/ T-SQ)
  • You have experience in building data models for analytical purposes (for example in Snowflake) to support report “direct queries”
  • You  have experience in designing external facing (customers/users) reports, including running user feedback sessions and responding to user feedback
  • You have a depth of experience (including system set up) with at least one reporting tool (Power BI/Tableau/etc)
  • You have experience with data visualisation and storytelling
  • You have superb communication and leadership skills: ability to decompose complex solutions and insights into a simple narrative for the rest of the company
  • You possess a passion for solving business problems with numbers and insights
