Founded in 2017, 0x created and now partakes in developing 0x protocol: the open-source, global backbone for decentralized exchange. YOUR ROLE AS A PLATFORM ENGINEER AT 0X
You'll help ensure our suite of products remains as performant and reliable as possible, automate various critical engineering tasks, and provide a world-class, streamlined internal developer experience. You'll take a data-driven optimization approach; your inclination should be to profile and benchmark existing systems, honing in on the highest impact improvements that should be undertaken. You care deeply about the reliability of your solutions and the productivity gains created for the rest of the engineering team.
This role is vital to the success of 0x as a whole, and it comes with a high degree of ownership. You'll have broad freedom to take appropriate steps to improve our infrastructure. We build on a quickly evolving modern stack and welcome well-reasoned, forward-thinking technology and architectural suggestions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help ensure uptime and reliability across 0x’s suite of products and services.
- Take ownership of our observability stack (Grafana, Mimir, and Loki)
- Automate a variety of engineering-related tasks and processes, such as onboarding and offboarding engineers and provisioning new services and cloud resources
- Manage and upgrade our Kubernetes infrastructure while ensuring high availability
- Assist in developing a robust real-time data streaming platform to be used for a variety of tasks related to data science, product development, and streamlining internal developer experience
- Improve internal build systems and manage/optimize CI/CD
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or equivalent
- Strong technical background and 5+ years of professional engineering experience
- Experience maintaining and scaling Kubernetes-based applications on cloud infrastructure
- AWS experience
- Experience building applications and services with programming languages such as TypeScript, Rust, and Go
- Advanced knowledge of modern DevOps practices (e.g., GitOps, CI/CD pipelines)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform

PREFERRED
- Experience with Apache Kafka or other event-streaming platforms
- Experience with Okta/SSO
- Experience with Kong
- Experience running and interacting with Ethereum nodes
- Experience with peer-to-peer networking technologies

- The base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $230,000 + equity + ZRX tokens + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, location, business needs, and candidate preferences between the different compensation elements. Benefits include:
