What You'll Do:

The ‘Sr. Process Design Engineer’ on the Systems Engineering team will be responsible for highly visible projects dealing with both current site upgrades and new site development. They will need a strong understanding of multiple fields including but not limited to construction, manufacturing, mechanical, and automation engineering. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, coordinate, and execute machine layouts and workflows
  • Support the launch of new products and redesign of old ones through DFMEA 
  • Utilize installation and operations manuals to ensure equipment follows “copy exact” philosophy throughout multiple installations no matter the location
  • Write user manuals to communicate the functionality of company developed programs
  • Perform process book updates using MODAPTS time studies
  • Use six sigma standards to continuously improve the current process
  • Write user manuals to communicate the functionality of company developed programs
  • Develop metrics to measure plant and equipment capacity and identify bottlenecks
  • Maintain records pertinent to each project in the form of time, sketches, drawings specifications, bills of materials, etc.

Required Skills:

  • Factory-manufacturing simulation skills are mandatory for this role (as an example)
    • Full factory simulation (part tracking, flow simulation(s), material handling, track people movement onsite
    • Process engineering and statistical modeling 
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment                                                                                             
  • Bachelor's degree in related engineering field or equivalent work experience desired 
  • Strong to expert level Solidworks skills
  • 1-2+ years of FlexSim, Minitab, or similar 3D simulation modeling and analysis software
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Strong leader and communicator

Preferred Skills:

  • ODS and EIS Documentation updates and verification
  • Support prototype builds and new product introductions using manufacturability of parts
  • Well rounded in both individual and group work
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, without losing sight of key goals
  • Result-Oriented mind with flexibility and adaptability to dynamic schedules
  • Familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
  • Familiar with robotic motion (Fanuc, ABB)
  • Pneumatic/Hydraulic equipment experience
