Zume is looking for a safety minded Electrical Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company in a burgeoning industry with a globally compelling mission and vision. Candidates are expected to have a strong knowledge of electrical and manufacturing systems and to quickly come up to speed on our specific plant systems/equipment/components. This role will report into the maintenance department and will play a key role in reaching/exceeding our uptime targets and other manufacturing goals. 

Essential Functions:

  • Inspect Manufacturing and Electrical equipment/components
  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain manufacturing and Electrical equipment/components
  • Work independent or with operation’s division personnel, contractors or engineering as required
  • Read instructions, blue prints, schematics, drawings, and manuals
  • Use any meters, hand tools, and shop equipment required to perform tasks
  • Perform preventative maintenance to prevent major production interruption and to ensure the safe operating condition of the plant
  • Maintain tools and test equipment to maintain plant electrical systems
  • Interpret plans and specifications for projects
  • Identify improvement opportunities and helps drive them through implementation


  • 3+ years electrical experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to understand and systematically troubleshoot electro-mechanical industrial machinery and VFD’s ;
  • Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to determine causes of operating errors and perform repairs efficiently
  • Program and control automatic systems and controllers a plus
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be familiar with and able to apply the National Electrical Code
  • Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations
  • Technical schooling or apprenticeship is preferred and have basic knowledge of PLC a plus 
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism

Additional Information

Regular Work schedule: 3:00AM - 11:30AM, Monday through Friday

  • During the first week of hire: Onboarding/Training will be scheduled: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
