The role of this job is to support the process and manufacturing departments, assisting directly to the pulping technology manager.
The job will include developing documentation, designing, drawings, SOP, as well as help directly in the installation, commissioning and start up of the stock prep, approach, and straw fiber conversion in the facility.
Uses knowledge of general application of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards to perform engineering and design of pulp and paper manufacturing facilities
Works in a team environment to meet project goals, work will be initially under supervision
Collaborate in system design, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's), set company standards for design, area codes, etc, and coordinating design with other disciplines
Develop and track process specifications and parameters
Participates in planning, cost development, and scheduling for assigned projects
BS degree Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Pulp and Paper science.
2+ years experience in pulp & paper environments / engineering role
Proficient with equipment and pipe sizing
Capable of developing and understanding process deliverables including PID, layouts, SOPs,...
Well organized and multitask
Highly motivated with a sense of urgency
Team player with good interpersonal skills
Proficiency in autocad, and /or 3D programs is a plus
Must be open to 25% travel
