This People Manager position will play an instrumental role in creating the human resources and recruiting foundation for our new India location. The People Manager will report to the Managing Director of Zume India and provide leadership to our business leaders, as well as build out and manage our recruiting, HR, on-boarding and business operations functions within the India People team.
What You’ll Do
Create an overall recruiting and HR strategy for Zume India, which includes the evolution of the India People organization
Partners with business leaders in developing organizational goals, objectives and systems
Create and conduct employee on-boarding processes for new hires
Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics and promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, such as time to hire and employee turnover
Partner with hiring leaders on developing organization charts and descriptions for job openings
Provide full life cycle recruiting for job openings by building candidate pipelines via traditional candidate generation methods (applicants, referrals, LinkedIn), evaluating and presenting viable candidates to hiring managers, and offering and closing candidates
Provide a world class candidate experience through implementing interview and recruiting processes, guidelines and training for India employees
Help maintain company organization HRIS hygiene (Workday)
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the People Team and services performed
Helps maintain human resource information system (HRIS) records and compiles reports from the database
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
Who You Are
7-10 years experience in a People Leadership role (either HR, Recruiting or both)
Experience in human resources and recruiting
Experience helping organizations scale required; comfortable operating in a constantly changing environment
Intellectual curiosity about people and organization issues
Effective influencer and communicator; great interpersonal skills
Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and judgment; ability to make sound decisions independently with a ”Solve It” mentality
Analytically driven; can tell a story through numbers
Experience working on projects focused on the enhancement of the employee lifecycle (on-boarding, transfers, performance cycles, and offboarding) through process improvements, automation, data & insights
Strong consulting, coaching, and facilitation skills are a plus
Immigration comprehension/practice is a plus
Experience with Workday is a plus
