The Accounting and Events Intern would primarily be responsible for managing corporate events and accounts. You will be responsible for every aspect of an event, from choosing venues to evaluating success afterwards. Zscaler has spent years building groundbreaking technology that’s improving the security postures of enterprises around the world. And while engineering teams have been building great Zscaler products, our G&A teams have been building Zscaler into a great company. Responsibilities/What You’ll Do:

  • Understand requirements for each corporate event.
  • Plan the event with attention to financial and time constraints.
  • Research and choose the best combination of quality and cost.
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms.
  • Create a budget for the event, raising Purchase Orders in the system and getting appropriate approvals.
  • Reviewing contracts from a financial and legal perspective.
  • Coordinating between the vendors and the business users to make sure that their requirements are met.
  • Prepare MIS for management on the flight schedules and hotel reservations.
  • Manage all event operations (preparing rooming list, reconciling invoices, managing last minute changes).
  • Reviewing invoices and managing payments for all vendors related to the event.
  • Keeping track of the approved budget and making sure that there is no overspend.
  • Overseeing event happenings and acting quickly to resolve problems.
  • Do final checks before the day of the event to ensure everything is as per requirements.
  • Evaluate event’s success and reconcile the final folios.
  • Review travel-associated invoices as well as statements for accuracy plus codes for Accounts Payable. Maintains the summary of the same for good records.
  • Ensures to compare invoices with genuine transactions to validate every charge. Also, to take up with the Card Companies in case any suspicious transaction is noticed.
  • Works in sync with the manager at HQ and adjusts the work schedule as per the requirements of the profile.

Specializations:

  • B.com/ BBA/ M.Com with very Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires minimum graduate (Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration preferred).
  • Willing to work in rotational shifts including night shifts
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Well-organized with multi-tasking skills
  • Good communication and negotiation ability
