Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced Architect to join our Zscaler SRE team and have a direct impact on our platform and tooling capabilities . In this role, you will bring your deep understanding of building and scaling high performance and reliable systems with a recognized reputation as an industry expert.  You will be responsible for providing strategic direction and technical leadership for our SRE Platform and tooling capabilities; overseeing the development and deployment of innovative solutions and ensuring the platform meets the evolving needs of the business  

Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical leadership and vision for the design and development of the SRE Platform and tooling requirements particularly in the AIOPS and Observability spaces
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement a scalable, high-performance, and secure platform architecture that meets current and future business needs.
  • Lead the exploration and adoption of emerging technologies, ensuring that the platform remains at the forefront of industry advancements.
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with product management to align technical strategies with business goals and contribute to the product roadmap.
  • Work with SRE teams and partner engineering teams to drive reliable solutions to drive industry leading reliability and availability of the Zscaler Cloud. 
  • Drive  testing and release strategies to ensure new enhancements/features are able to address target use cases.
  • Become a valued leader in the SRE leadership organization and drive tooling adoption and SRE best practice across Zscaler
  • Serve as a technical evangelist, representing the organization at conferences, contributing to open-source projects, and promoting thought leadership in the industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 9+ years of experience in the Observability and Automation space
  • Experience of AIOPs and the use of AI/ML to drive operational efficiency and scale.
  • Highly experienced in the culture of SRE in comparable technology environments.
  • Strong technical foundation in operational tooling - Observability, Monitoring, Automations etc
  • Experience delivering products as cloud-based services.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) – must be able to communicate at a business and technical level with internal teams, customers, partners and executives.
  • Solid experience with engaging technical teams to discuss use cases, review feature/function requirements and define solutions.
