As a Data Engineer in our Accounts squad, you’ll be supporting work that directly interacts with our customers. You’ll get exposure to a variety of tools, working on a large scale transformation project as we transition our LMS system, which is at the core of Zip’s business.

As part of this team, your work will be at the heart of the experience that more than 3.5 million customers have with Zip. 

Responsible for maintaining the many databases and platform integrations related to how a customer transacts with us, from sign-up and onboarding to repayments, this is business-critical work that depends on Engineers who enjoy ownership and embrace change. 

To help us level up you’ll bring:

  • Experience working on "lift and shift" projects / ETL.
  • Must have experience in designing and developing Scala/Python Spark applications
  • Strong SQL and Database skills including RDBMS and NoSQL databases preferably Snowflake, Postgres, DynamoDB, SQL Server, SparkSQL.
  • Practical experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, IAM, EKS etc.)
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of business users
  • Ability to work fluidly with a desire to take on new challenges
