As the VP, Platform Assurance & Security, you will oversee a comprehensive portfolio encompassing organizational security, application security, governance, risk, SRE, Quality Management and Service Management, with a primary focus on maintaining the integrity and resilience of Zip's operations. As a hands-on, technical leader, you will not only drive initiatives from a leadership and planning perspective but also actively contribute to security architecture, engineering, and IT decision-making processes. Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all aspects of Platform Assurance, your responsibilities will be augmented by a heightened emphasis on fortifying the security and resiliency of Zip's North American production systems, overseeing incident operations, and managing security operations to ensure the protection of critical assets and data.

  • Lead large-scale quality management teams as part of an assurance governance process, emphasizing operational excellence and problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and present regularly to the C-suite, demonstrating strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

 

What you’ll bring to the team 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience (15+ years) in information security management in the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing information security strategies at a regional or global level
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations including PCI DSS, SOC2, ISO 27K, and state regulations
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are highly desirable
  • In-depth understanding of emerging security technologies, threat landscape, and industry best practices
  • Experience leading and building SRE strategies and teams within a multi-cloud environment
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in ITIL practices with a proven track record of implementing and uplifting service management capabilities
  • Experience leading large scale quality management teams as part of an assurance governance process
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Will be presenting to C-suite often, someone who is comfortable presenting, addressing problems and answering questions, live

The Pay Range for this position: $225,000 - $310,000 based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and Zip's compensation strategies. However, actual base salary will depend on varying circumstances and individualized factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. 

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
