WHO YOU ARE:

As an Account Executive, Retail Sales, you possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with extensive experience in the financial services advisory and Property & Casualty insurance markets. You have a proven track record in prospecting new business and closing deals through market research. You excel at assessing problematic situations and providing cohesive solutions, and you have a helpful personality with a solution-oriented mindset. Additionally, you have the ability to deliver compelling and effective new business sales presentations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:  

The company provides CRM solutions specifically tailored to the needs of insurance and financial services companies. SmartOffice is in use by insurance carriers, their agents/dealers as well as companies providing financial advisor services, and it is a well-known, highly used, and sought-after CRM solution in the market.

  • Understand prospect buying processes and methodologies
  • Develop and implement outbound sales prospecting/outreach
  • Develop credibility, trust and building relationships with prospects
  • Build existing relationships with current clients - influence buying decisions and solving customer problems
  • Demonstrate an ability to cross-sell and up-sell
  • Track and assist new prospects during their free trial period
  • Conduct product demonstration requests
  • Provide clients with up-to-date product, service, and price information
  • Prepare/present sales proposals highlighting value of SmartOffice solutions to current + prospective clients
  • Sell software/services to risk + insurance management organizations, corporations, and public entities
  • Use a consultative solution sales approach, and sell on value and return-on-investment
  • Generate, manage, and grow a pipeline of qualified prospects/leads
  • Move leads through a sales pipeline - achieve targeted closed revenue and quota attainment

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 

  • Must be internet savvy, have computer literacy in Windows applications including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and be able to work remotely using tools such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Zoom
  • Working knowledge of the CRM software market or the ability to learn new software quickly, and ability to use CRM technology to track and manage new prospect relationships
  • Possess knowledge of the latest cloud service offerings, toolsets, operating systems, and browsers
  • Experience prospecting new business and closing deals using market research
  • Past experience with technology and/or software sales preferred
  • Ability to assess problematic situations and provide a cohesive prospect/customer solution
  • Experience in business development, lead nurturing, and contract negotiation
  • Ability to make compelling & effective new business/sales presentations
  • Must possess a helpful personality with a solution mindset
  • Ability to manage/multitask multiple projects
  • Effective at lead follow up
  • Ability to attend select industry trade shows and follow up leads using email + phone
  • Proven ability to solve customer problems thoughtfully, methodically, and quickly
  • Willingness to collaborate in a highly competitive environment
  • Excellent listening and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to clearly communicate with engineering, technical, business analysts
  • Must be experienced in reporting key sales and business metrics
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (marketing, business admin, psychology, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Continuous learning orientation with interest in participating in consultative sales training programs
  • Experience in the financial services advisory + Property & Casualty insurance markets
  • Previous inside sales and customer service experience
  • Desire minimum of 3-5 years of direct sales experience in the insurance industry
  • Willingness to travel to current and prospective customers
  • Ability to represent the company at industry related conferences, trade shows, and events
  • Excellent interpersonal rapport building skills with multiple prospect/customer personalities
  • Ability to collaborate with a range of internal support departments and working across divisions
  • A track record of new business prospecting and success managing a group of assigned key accounts
