WHO YOU ARE:

You are a seasoned professional with an extensive background in networking, particularly with a specialization in Cisco technologies. You possess a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network architectures that align with organizational goals. You have experience with cloud network technologies such as AWS. You possess exceptional problem-solving skills allowing you to swiftly diagnose and resolve intricate network issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless operations. Your proficiency in designing scalable and resilient network solutions allows future growth and technology advancements for Zinnia.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• As a Sr. Network Engineer you play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing Zinnia’s network infrastructure. Daily, your responsibilities encompass a range of technical tasks aimed at ensuring the reliability, and performance of our network. This includes:
• Network Design and Planning - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and plan network architecture, taking into consideration requirements for scalability, redundancy, and security.
• Configuration and Maintenance - Configuring and maintaining network devices such as Cisco ACI datacenter, ISR & ASR Router, 3850 L3 access layer switches, Meraki Wireless, Checkpoint firewalls, and Citrix Netscaler load balancers. Ensuring that all network components are correctly set up and updated with the latest firmware and patches.
• Troubleshooting - Identifying and resolving network issues and disruptions, whether related to hardware, software, or connectivity problems. Utilizing CLI or diagnostic tools to analyze and address performance bottlenecks or connectivity outages.
• Performance Optimization - Monitoring network performance with ACI dashboard or Solarwinds, analyzing data traffic patterns, Utilizing Netflow and making necessary adjustments to optimize bandwidth usage and ensure smooth data flow across the network.
• Project Management - Overseeing the planning and execution of network projects, such as network expansions or hardware refresh, or technology upgrades, ensuring they are completed within the specified timeframes during approved maintenance windows.
• Documentation - Maintaining accurate documentation of the network infrastructure, configurations, and changes. Utilize Visio to maintain accurate network diagrams.
• Vendor Collaboration - Interacting with network equipment vendors, service providers, and other external partners to manage contracts, negotiate pricing, and stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Emergency Response - Participate in on-call for critical network incidents that require immediate attention, even outside of regular working hours, to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Should have 5-8 years IT experience with strong expertise in Network Engineering domain.
• Knowledgeable with Cisco network operating systems. IOS, NX-OS, ACI
• Experience with Cisco campus switches, 3850, 4500, Catalyst 9000 series. – L3 Switching, HSRP, 802.1Q trunking.
• Experience with Meraki wireless
• Experience with Cisco ACI and Nexus 9K datacenter
• Experience with Cisco ASR & ISR routers
• Routing protocols – OSPF, BGP in multivendor environments, and EIGRP
• Checkpoint Firewalls – familiarity with Security Policy, Application control, Site-to-Site VPN, Cluster XL
• Experience with AWS networking, including VPC and Direct Connect
• Familiarity with 802.1X Port-Based Authentication in a Cisco environment
• Windows DHCP service configuration
• Network Monitoring - Solarwinds

• Post graduate degree with Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or MBA qualification from reputed institutes.
