WHO YOU ARE:
As a Check Processing Specialist, you will provide high quality customer service, relative to the daily processing of all outgoing Corporate Checks, and related services, to the entire organization. You are aimed at assuring a high-quality product, within specified timeframes, while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the services provided. The production process is composed primarily of the processing, reconciliation, and special handling of all outgoing Corporate Checks, occasionally totaling over millions of dollars.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Reconcile all checks to the check numbers and reports which were printed from the previous night’s cycle, and to the inserter report and the non-USPS reports.
- Identify and process all high-dollar checks, requiring approval signature.
- Identify and process all special handling requests, requiring non-USPS documentation, and/or unique Inserts.
- Identify and process all employee benefits checks, including matching checks with vouchers.
- Identify and process all commission checks, including matching with the appropriate commission statement, verifying the dollar amounts, and recording all details.
- Provide quality training for, and a continually open line of communication with all team members.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of relevant experience within a service environment, preferred.
- Strong data entry skills.
- Capacity to quickly learn new Processing Systems.
- An eye for detail and quality.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
- Ability to act professionally under pressure, reason quickly, and work unsupervised.
- Good organizational skills.
- Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Excellent data entry skills and strong attention to electronic file details.
- Capability to utilize multiple processing systems collectively to achieve processing results.
