SUMMARY

HealthySteps is an evidence-based model that promotes nurturing parenting by integrating an early childhood development professional into the pediatric primary care team. Now in more than 250 sites across the country, HealthySteps partners with families to improve babies’ and toddlers’ healthy development and well-being – with a focus on addressing the persistent inequities that impact the life trajectories of too many children of color and children living in families with low incomes. The HealthySteps National Office (National Office) at ZERO TO THREE supports and oversees the growing network of sites as they implement, deliver, and sustain the model, to reach more than 1 million young children and families annually by 2032.

The Product Manager will manage and support several vendors and consultants along with internal business (ZTT and HS) requests that will maintain and implement HealthySteps products. They will lead and support multiple complex projects and serve as the principal interface and liaison between business stakeholders. ZTT and HealthySteps, ZERO TO THREE’s IT team and vendors. This position will work under the HealthySteps program to ensure continuous progression of multiple and complex technology and software development projects. Additionally, this role will support timely escalation of issues, continuous reporting of status and quality assurance of technology products. The Product Manager, reporting to the Product Director Technology, HealthySteps, will connect multiple technical and non-technical teams together by performing effective stakeholder management.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the development, maintenance, and execution of the product roadmap, ensuring that it aligns with short and long-term business goals. This includes identifying and prioritizing product features, coordinating with cross-functional teams to translate needs into product strategies, and communicating roadmap updates to all relevant parties to ensure transparency and alignment across the organization. 
  • Utilize Agile project management methodology to guide all projects in a consistent, organized, and reliable manner.  
  • Assist with workflow training and documentation on HS applications. 
  • Document, present and validate solution requirements, business processes, system dependencies, and any associated risks together with the Business (ZTT and HS) IT and vendors. 
  • Collaborate with business leads to help create standards for submission of requests for HS applications. 
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of a standardized user support strategy for NO applications, including developing and maintaining user resources.  
  • Collect and document requests from business leads and create user stories within JIRA for the product related meetings. Prioritize backlog based on project/user needs. 
  • Have a clear understanding of existing processes, recognize, and propose process changes to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.  
  • Work with ZTT IT to keep users informed of system limitations. 
  • Work with ZTT IT to create and manage HS reports and dashboards for HS staff.
  • Effectively coordinate and lead product-related meetings.
  • Create a downtime process with ZTT IT for system outages as it pertains to workflow documentation. 
  • Oversee the development of a non-technical data entry/data accuracy quality assurance plan, including working with HS staff to identify their roles and responsibilities, and manage its implementation ongoing. 
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine their functional needs, while being the liaison between sub-teams and ZTT IT. 
  • Create and maintain a technical quality assurance plan to check for systems issues stemming from user feedback, new configurations, data entry, reports, and upgrades. Collaborate with ZTT IT to mitigate and resolve any issues that may arise. 
  • Manage vendors and consultants that maintain and implement HealthySteps products.  
  • Collaborate closely with the HS Project Manager (Operations Team) to support the delivery of technology-related projects by ensuring comprehensive, cohesive plans and facilitating interfaces with other teams and departments. Collaborate with the Product team and Data Integration Specialist to gather user feedback and conduct user research.  
  • Track user feedback to help with future state builds, changes or enhancements that are being made to the application. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the HealthySteps National Office. 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a Product Manager preferred.
  • Experience with SaaS and salesforce environments and/or App based technologies preferred.
  • 3-5 years working in an Agile process preferred.
  • Familiar with Waterfall methodology.
  • Experience with AWS, Asana and/or Jira is a huge plus.
  • Healthcare knowledge/experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders across business (ZERO TO THREE and HealthySteps) and technology.
  • Ability to coordinate internally with sub-teams, translating and liaising across teams to ensure shared understanding of needs/workflows.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience documenting technology requirements, requirement analysis tools/methodologies. Knowledge of process re-engineering methodologies and process flow-charting.
  • Experience participating as a member of a product team through all phases of the project lifecycle- scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design and process mapping, development, testing and going live.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This position's salary is estimated to be mid $80,000s to low $100,000s depending on experience, geo-location, budget, and other comparable and similarly scoped internal positions. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is frequently required to use finger dexterity and sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. Also, they may need to remain seated for extended periods, can perform repetitive motions, and reach for objects. An employee is frequently required to hold a writing instrument, communicate verbally, and hear well enough to detect nuances and receive detailed information. They may be required to grasp objects, push, and pull objects, bend, stand, walk, squat, or kneel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for data preparation or analysis, and expansive reading. May need to lift up to 30 pounds.


WORKING CONDITIONS

The work conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing this job. Depending on work location, the incumbent will typically work indoors in a heated and air-conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent, and fluorescent light with low to moderate noise levels or be subject to working conditions conducive to a home environment. When travel is expected, the incumbent will be exposed to outside environmental conditions during those times.
