About the role:

A fast-paced, deadline-driven role within the Reporting & Control team in Finance Operations. As an Analyst, you will assist the team with the month end close process for both WorldRemit and Sendwave, the managing of audit requests and various reporting for senior management.

What you will own:

Reporting to the Reporting & Control Manager, you will:

  • Support the timely and accurate close of FinOps general ledger for all entities in accordance with month end and year end timetables
  • Prepare insightful monthly financial and operations commentary and analysis, liaising with various teams both within and outside of Finance Operations to understand the drivers of movements
  • Responsible for the preparation of month-end accruals
  • Assessing whether accruals are appropriate and in line with accounting standards and internal risk exposure
  • Assist with the tracking of audit requests and liaising with the relevant teams and auditors to achieve efficient audits
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly regulatory and compliance reporting
  • Documenting processes and collaborating both within and outside of the team to improve processes

What you bring to the table: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or equivalent experience
  • ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified or local equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience in a Reporting / Control related role
  • Experience using accounting software (NetSuite preferable)
  • Proven experience in financial/business analysis
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets knowledge
  • Collaborative and proactive approach, communicating with other stakeholders in the business
  • Self-motivated and hands-on approach to working; able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to operate with ambiguity
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
