About ZAVA:

We're on a mission to provide our patients with healthcare that is accessible and dependable, at a fraction of today's cost. By creating a safe, efficient and convenient approach to healthcare we’ve already provided over 6 million consultations across the UK, Germany, France, and Ireland.

Our team of Doctors, Engineers, Customer Support Advisors, Marketers, Product Managers, UX Designers, Pharmacists, Commercial & Operations Specialists all work collaboratively to build a digital healthcare platform that enables our patients to find the right healthcare quickly, effectively, and discreetly so they can do more of what matters to them.

At the end of 2020, we secured a second round of investment and completed two exciting acquisitions in Germany. We're a scaleup company with ambitious growth plans.

We’re here because we care about healthcare and we plan to be Europe’s biggest digital healthcare provider by 2025.

About the role:

This role will see an experienced Lead Technical Product Manager joining our team to focus on the continuous discovery, design, evolution and execution of services at ZAVA. You will adopt a user-lead approach to product strategy, and be the voice of the customer across the business.  Given your technical experience, and ZAVA’s need to build a robust ecosystem based platform for healthcare you will be ready to embrace our shift towards an Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) and dependent services that the rest of ZAVA relies on.

Organised into four tribes, and associated squads, we are looking for a key person to lead our products and services that focus the underlying platform of core capabilities and centralised patient data.  This crucial part of ZAVA must combine product, technology and operations to create an highly effective ecosystem around our patients, partners, payers and providers, all of which underpin our services.  We have big ambitions to grow not just in Germany, but beyond, and this will rely on a long term strategy across the entire product suite.

You will have autonomy and authority within Product, and directly manage a growing team of product managers and associates.

What can you expect from working with us? / What's in it for you?

  • Chance to influence the future of healthcare - It is through technology that ZAVA has been able to make efficiency gains in the healthcare sector. To continue pushing boundaries and expand the company, our platform needs to evolve and grow and you will play a significant role in deciding what we do next.
  • Working across Europe in multiple countries - Taking on the challenge of creating one ‘global’ service but with local needs and variations
  • Collaborate and guide talented individuals from a wide range of backgrounds - We have clinicians, pharmacists, a doctor turned developer as well as the usual folk you’d expect in a tech company.
  • A fast paced entrepreneurial environment - You define how you want to contribute to the company.  You and your team decide what is important and navigate the ambiguity that comes from being in a rapidly developing sector going through a lot of change - further accelerated by a global health crisis.
  • Work on real user problems - From patients in a hurry to doctors running digital consultations, you will lead the team to solve problems that have a real impact on doctors professional lives.

Day-to-day the work will encompass:

  • Champion a product-led business culture, and ensure the best-practice product process is adopted within the organisation.
  • Work closely with the Leadership team and Product team to define and drive the product strategy for their tribe whilst working closely with other tribes
  • Partner with the commercial team, and represent them in product and service growth
  • Provide key market, technology, and ecosystem insights and understanding to inform and drive business decisions
  • Building documentation and marketing assets in collaboration with our wider content and brand teams to showcase our products to the highest standard.
  • Execute the product strategy consistently, rapidly and effectively in a manner that delivers maximum value.
  • Build, foster and evolve a strong product culture that values making an impact through the use of KPIs and OKRs, not just shipping features.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with other departments such as Clinical, Technology, Commercial and Operations to ensure effective delivery and support of technology products

Experience and qualifications:

  • Experienced in a technical senior product role within a medical product domain
  • History of delivering outcomes emerging from clear targets and plans
  • Able to motivate and develop a cross departmental team of tribe leads.
  • Experience in communicating with C-level executives in a strategic context.
  • History of providing strategic insights for organisations
  • Solid technology understanding including enterprise and SaaS product experience
  • Able to translate strategy into measurable operational goals and objectives; product vision and strategy should drive and underpin day-to-day product management activities.
  • Smart, collaborative and able to communicate clearly
  • Able to build partnership relationships with partner organisations and doctor community, but also foster strong internal working relationships
  • Disciplined in assessing performance and addressing problems
  • Excellent understanding of agile/lean principles
  • Knowledge of product discovery and development best practices, including service introduction
  • Highly-developed critical and analytical thinking; deep knowledge of how to use product-generated data (analytics) in evaluations
