Company Overview:

Generative AI is making a real difference in people's lives. We’re seeing those who use it experience significant improvements in their productivity and get things done faster than ever before. The problem is, it’s not optimized for the workplace.

Generative AI is not yet connected to the information and knowledge you use everyday to do your job. It’s not configurable across the products you work with each day. Why? Enterprises think about privacy, they have their own IT infrastructure, and access rights to data. There are established workflows and applications, budgets for compute, petabytes of corporate data and knowledge.

At Yurts, we’re solving this problem. We are empowering people to do their best work by making the everyday easier with accessible AI.

Why We’re Hiring This Role:

Things are going well at Yurts! We have a lot of traction and an amazing product, but we’re still figuring things out. This is where you come in! Your main responsibility will be using a deep understanding of our customers and their needs to define our positioning and go-to-market strategy.

Being at an early-stage company also means you’ll be wearing many hats. Beyond positioning, you’ll be at the helm of creating the most compelling content to help our audience understand use cases and our value proposition, generating collateral alongside our sales team, and bringing the voice of the customer back to our engineering team. It also means that while this is a senior-level role, you’ll be expected to roll up your sleeves and ship often rather than living in the clouds.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Product Positioning:

  • Develop and execute strategic product positioning and messaging that clearly articulates the unique value proposition of our AI technology products in the market.

Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement effective go-to-market plans for new product launches and feature updates, ensuring seamless coordination between marketing, sales, and product development teams.

Customer Insights and Feedback:

  • Proactively gather customer feedback and insights through surveys, interviews, and data analysis, using this information to refine product messaging and identify opportunities for product enhancements.
  • Work closely with the sales and customer success teams to understand customer pain points and preferences, translating insights into actionable strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Content Creation and Thought Leadership:

  • Create compelling and informative marketing collateral, including product guides, case studies, whitepapers, and presentations, to educate customers, prospects, and partners about our AI technology solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Significant Experience as a Product Marketer
    • Significant experience (eg. 5+ years) in developing and executing successful product marketing strategies, including market analysis, positioning, and messaging, preferably in the context of B2B Sass products.
  • Experience With a Technical Product
    • You’ll need to have worked with a highly-technical product in the past. Yurts is a Generative AI product and the technology itself is highly complex. While our users can be anyone at an enterprise, the decision-makers involved in bringing Yurts to their company (eg. CTOs, CIOs) are often quite technical and you will need to be able to comfortably communicate with them.
  • Experience Working at an Early-Stage Startup
    • Yurts is early-stage and that means there’s a lot of things that aren’t figured out yet. You’ll need to be comfortable with operating in that kind of environment. If you have only worked as part of a large marketing organization with a lot of resources, this is likely not a good fit for you.
  • Analytical Skills
    • Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in using data analytics tools to interpret marketing data, assess campaign performance, and derive actionable insights.
    • Experience with market research techniques, including surveys, customer interviews, and competitive analysis, to gather meaningful insights and shape marketing strategies.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling marketing content and present complex technical information in an easy-to-understand manner.
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and customer support, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of AI technologies, machine learning concepts, and their applications in real-world scenarios.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and sales enablement materials. Leveraging digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and other platforms to reach target audiences effectively.

Benefits

  • Healthcare (medical, vision, and dental insurance) with generous employer contribution (90% for employees and 75% for dependents)
  • Flexible PTO. Take time as you need it - plus Christmas Eve - New Year's Day is a company-wide shutdown to relax and get ready for the new year.
  • Stock Options
  • Remote or hybrid (depending on location)
  • Commuter benefits for those who visit our office
  • Paid Parental Leave (12 weeks). Yurts also provides an additional 4 weeks (16 weeks total) for birthing parents.
  • Bereavement leave (2 weeks) for miscarriages or the loss of a loved one
  • 401k (no matching as of yet)
  • Home office stipend to set up your workspace
  • In-person gatherings

Salary

The salary range for this position is $133,000 - $187,000 annually. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
