DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for managing security tooling, performing threat detection, and responding to incidents to ensure secure software operation. They will conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective measures to prevent future security incidents. The role requires strong collaboration and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders to maintain robust security practices.

We are looking for an engineer who is passionate about cybersecurity and enjoys working  in a fast-paced startup environment, and who has a strong desire to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and manage SIEM(monitor security in production)
  • Optimize and automate security controls for cloud applications in production
  • Develop code for collecting and injecting data from security vendors API’s(mainly Python)
  • Identify, work, and resolve security incidents
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders: be able to hold customer’s call and elaborate on Yugabyte’s security posture and best security practices.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree
  • Familiarity with a modern SaaS infrastructure and application development
  • SRE/DevOps experience on AWS, Azure and(or) GCP
  • Advanced skills in securing cloud infrastructure and  CI/CD pipelines
  • Code in one or more programming languages, preferably  Python
  • Good understanding of security risk(OWASP Top 10)
  • Familiarity with major security protocols
  • Collaboration, transparency and integrity
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience
